OVERVIEW
The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, buffalo, and many species of primates, including chimpanzees. The park is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 450 species of birds recorded in the area.
One of the park’s main attractions is the boat trip to the bottom of the Murchison Falls. The boat ride takes visitors through the spectacular gorge and provides an up-close view of the falls and the surrounding wildlife.
Game drives are also a popular activity in Murchison Falls National Park. Visitors can explore the park’s vast savannahs and woodlands in search of the park’s wildlife, including the elusive leopards and rare Rothschild’s giraffes.
In addition to wildlife viewing, visitors to Murchison Falls National Park can enjoy other activities such as hiking to the top of the falls, visiting nearby villages to learn about local cultures and traditions, and fishing on the Nile River.
