We will arrange for your pick-up from your hotel in Arusha, and after a comfortable 2-3 hour drive, you will reach the remarkable Tarangire National Park. This area was once frequented by Hemingway during his adventurous big game hunting safaris. However, with the establishment of national parks in 1970, the focus shifted to conservation, transforming the seasonal marshes and vast savannahs into thriving wildlife habitats. Today, instead of elephant guns, cameras capture the beauty of Tarangire.

Tarangire National Park boasts the highest concentration of elephants in North Tanzania, allowing you to witness these magnificent creatures throughout the year. The herds can reach astonishing numbers, often surpassing 300 individuals. The Tarangire River ensures a constant water source, attracting animals from the surrounding areas during the dry season, which spans from July to October. During this time, you will be treated to an unforgettable spectacle as you observe a wide array of wildlife, including lions, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, and various species of antelopes and gazelles. If you’re fortunate, you might even spot a python! The dry season also entices bird enthusiasts, as over 550 different species, including the magnificent Masai Ostrich (the world’s largest bird), inhabit the area.
