Volcanoes National Park

WHEN TO VISIT
The dry season, which runs from mid-May to mid-September and from mid-December to mid-February, is considered the best time to visit Rwanda for gorilla trekking and other outdoor activities. During this time, the weather is dry and sunny, making it easier to navigate through the forests and hike the steep hills. The dry season also offers the best visibility for wildlife viewing, as the vegetation is less dense and animals congregate around water sources. However, it’s important to note that this is peak season, and availability of accommodation and permits can be limited.
